At last we're up and running!

Welcome to i58 – Torchbearers Australia’s youth outreach website. We’re really excited that you can see so much of what happens at our centre as you look at all the photos and hear great stuff from the podcasts. We’d like to keep in touch with you through the blog, so read ahead, make some comments or ask us some questions, and keep in touch with the weekly postings – they are sure to encourage you! We are looking forward to getting to know you and helping you in your walk with Jesus.

Here’s an introduction, about us – enjoy getting to know us more.

At our beautiful Torchbearers centre doing life with Jesus is normal for us. Our greatest resource is you, the students, that’s why we invest so much of ourselves in you through great teaching, times of prayer and worship, guys and girls groups, mentoring, serving, family times and just hanging out and having fun.

As our students grow in their faith and put it into action they change – just as it says in Isaiah 58 verses 6-9. Change is not always easy; sometimes it’s a struggle, that’s why it’s good to happen in a safe environment where there are people who really care. Our students say that they experience God far more from living in community than from going to lectures – I guess that’s about where the rubber hits the road.

Developing a personal relationship with Jesus is the key at Torchbearers followed closely by making amazing friends – where else can you get to hang out with such a bunch of amazing people your own age, all seeking the same goal?

So, whatever you are doing, no matter wherever you are, there will always be a warm welcome waiting for you as a student at Torchbearers Australia.

We want to see more young people fired up for Jesus – help us by keeping in touch. Ask any questions and I’ll do my best to post a response within 24 hours.
